SIMON KESSLER IS NAMED SPORTS DIRECTOR.
FloridaVelo is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Kessler as its first Sports Director. Effective today, Simon will manage the team's planned growth with respect to training, support, sponsor relations, and program development. In 2009, FloridaVelo will support Elite, Junior, Women, Masters, and Open teams, and it will implement a variety of community and charitable programs such as Riding is Cool, Rides for Kids, and BikeFest among others.

Simon Kessler has been involved in competitive cycling as a racer and a coach for the past 20 years. As a professional cyclist, he achieved national championships, national team designations, and many professional wins. As as coach, he has built a reputation for personal attention and for the ability to help athletes make significant and rapid improvements peaking for major objectives such as World and National medals and championships. Simon founded Simon Says Cycling, a coaching services company, to combine his wealth of experience with a very high level of individual attention and caring for each person. He believes in helping others achieve their true potential – whether they are recreational cyclists or competitive racers – is as much about caring, guiding, motivating, and instilling self confidence, as it is about writing the perfect training plan.
