We all need to think about riders who would enjoy sharing our time, talent, and effort, and ask them to join us in what promises to be a very fun team! To VOLUNTEER, please help us fill the following immediate positions. Your involvement is going to be the most critical element necessary to ensure the ultimate success of FloridaVelo. Please let us know if you want to help in any specific way not listed here. - Membership Director (membership drive, benefits, emailing) - Sponsorship Director (sponsorship drive, benefits, funding) - Communications Director (collaterals, content, media) To PARTICIPATE, please ask, suggest, motivate...do not wait for anyone to light a fire...get it started! The team is for you, and we expect everyone to get involved! The following UPDATE requires your attention and feedback: - Our Kick-Off meeting will take place on Monday, January 8th at 6:30pm. It will be held at Alberto's Italian Grille in Oldsmar. Please make sure you make it! - We will outline at this meeting our Goals & Objectives for 2007 that will fulfill our Mission Statement. Our Mission Statement is "FloridaVelo is committed to improving every member's riding skills, to sharing in their accomplishments, and to being ambassadors for the cycling community." - Please email us what you personally want to accomplish in cycling, and what are your suggestions for the team's Goals & Objectives. - Remember that membership in FloridaVelo covers the dues and supports the membership in the Suncoast Cycling Club. - We are not a racing team only! The team structure provides the knowledge, resources, and activities to develop and support cyclists who want that little extra out of the sport. At then end of the day, we all need to smile in appreciation of our health and time with friends. - We are finalizing the design and manufacturer of our Uniforms, and we will have a design proof and sizing samples at the meeting. We expect delivery sometime in early February. - The Order Form for the Accessory Kit and Team Equipment is also now available online. You can download it from the Team's page http://www.floridavelo.com/floridavelo/team.html. The savings and benefits offered by our sponsors are significant, so make sure you take advantage of them as they are only offered once or twice per season. - The Racing Training Plans have been posted on the website (the password to open the PDFs is "floridavelo" - members only) - The Touring and Individual Training Plans will be available online on January 1, 2007. Please make sure that you contact Pablo or Kevin for an individual assessment before choosing a training plan. - The Virtual Coach software will also be available online on January 1, 2007, and we will discuss all of its details at the meeting.
