FloridaVelo brings back its famed ELITE squad
to celebrate the team’s 10th year anniversary in 2017.

November 1, 2016 – Tampa Bay, Florida

Ken Vida, current road national champion and team captain, will be joined by former and new teammates Grant Potter, Curtis Long, Vance James, Gunther Hermanni, Ryan Post, Ian Gonder, Garrett Reel, Buster Wiand, Jan Heylen, Eric Hall, Mick Magin, Tony Maisto, Ernie Pena, and Pablo Santa Cruz.  The mission of the team is to lead the Florida Cycling season in quality and spirit, and more importantly to mentor our younger category 2/3 riders to maintain our traditions and camaraderie on and off the bike.  The team boasts current and past national champions, past world champs, multiple state champions and has the ability to win in any discipline.  FloridaVelo will announce shortly the return of its winning MASTERS squads as well.

The team will focus on winning the Florida Cycling CROWN and CUP competitions, select elite races out of state, and national level races in the Southeast while promoting and supporting our sponsors and supporters on and off the bike.

“FloridaVelo has always been in my heart, and I am very excited to return and lead this group of highly accomplished Elite and up-and-coming riders.  I have not been this motivated to train in a long time, and I cannot wait to ride and race with the amazing squad we have assembled.” said Ken Vida, FloridaVelo’s Captain.

“Leading by example on and off our bikes is our responsibility, and one of our goals is to bring back fun and glory to racing in Florida”, said Pablo Santa Cruz, FloridaVelo’s Founder.

FloridaVelo will be announcing shortly its sponsors, equipment choice, and other exciting news that will make our 2017 season memorable.
