Floridavelo EMAIL UPDATE – Feb 4, 2013

The uniform boxes arrived to Oldsmar this past Friday.  We will be sorting and bagging this Thursday at 6:00pm at Get Healthy, so they can be ready for pick up this Friday’s at our season kick off gathering at Get Health from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

If you cannot make the season kick off gathering this Friday, you may pick up your uniforms:

In Oldsmar at the Get Healthy & ON Performance store anytime after Friday, February 8 at 6:00pm

In San Antonio at the road race from 8:00am until 2:00pm at the team’s tent.

In Naples at the Kelly’s house starting on Monday, February  11 (Tish will coordinate a get together – please wait for her email)

If you did not order the uniforms with the team’s batch, the deadline for online ordering has been extended from Jan 31 to Feb 10 – you may do so online directly with Veloce to receive them in March (if the link does not work, please try again later today or tomorrow as they are updating it right now).

The last two weekends of pre-season races were a very good testimony of how much fun we will have this season. Congratulations for the great results and, more importantly, for getting back home safe and with a renewed commitment to fun and FV excellence!

This weekend’s Race for Humanity in San Antonio is our team’s first official race – the team’s tent will be setup at 8:00am.  If you would like to be pre-registered with the team, you can email me your name, license number and desired races by Wednesday 5:00pm – you can reimburse the team on Saturday morning $25 per entry on Saturday morning – if you need a licenser or timing chip, you will need to take care of them at onsite registration.

Please make a concentrated effort to communicate during the race – we need clarity at all times to execute with excellence – in addition and more importantly than the pre-race talk:

For Road Races, ride together with from 5 to no less than 2 miles to go, workout options, and be clear and ready to execute at 1 mile to go.

For Criteriums and Circuits, ride together from 5 laps to go, workout options, and be ready to execute at 3 laps to go.

This is not an exact science and coordination gets easier as we ride and race together, but the above steps/tips help immensely to be satisfied regardless of the results.

The yellow train is just getting started – it happens every start of the season, and since 2007 the accomplishments speak for themselves – enjoy the journey!
